“Excellent food, service was somewhat unrefined”

Visited June 2012 We really enjoyed our food here, it was top-notch. The in-season aspargus was amazing! The service was pretty good, however we were been taken care of about 4 different wait staff which made for a somewhat impersonal (albeit, not unfriendly) and not always the most effective service. With that been said, I look forward to eating here again! .

Visited June 2012 we have now become regular visitors for Sunday lunch because it is simply the best…………..great ingredients cooked brilliantly……so busy you have to book in advance.

“Excellent food and lovely garden”

Visited May 2012 We visited the Greene Oak this week for the first time. It was a great experience and I look forward to returning. The menu was good with lots I would have liked to try and the staff were really accommodating and happy for us to mix up the set and a la carte menu. We sat in the garden which is stylish and lovely on a sunny day. I also noticed a shaded pergola area where there were tables which looked nice as did the inside of the pub. The staff were very pleasant and overall it was very well priced. The only small negative for me was the noise of the planes which in that area are a little low but my husband said he didn’t notice at all so I think that is a personal thing!

“Seems to be getting better and better!”

Visited May 2012 New Head Chef and things seems to be getting better and better. New management always gets results and with Cat (front of house) and Richard (head chef), the team seem very relaxed but very on the ball. Wine tasting lunch was generally agreed to be the best yet, wines and food that is and the owner Henry seems after six years to be really enjoying the whole experience….So well so he should. Myself being someone who is often there for meetings!!!….I should say it an excellent eating and wining (a new word for those that enjoy good wines) experience….Catch you in the garden some time over the Summer! Well played everyone….now just got to keep it up!
